When I first met Lorne at CMB this year, I wasn’t expecting the encounter to be quite so impactful. He was speaking with a colleague of mine, and I happened to overhear their conversation about AI. Something in his words struck a chord with me—especially when my colleague looked at him and said, “This was a divine appointment.” I knew right then that I needed to learn more.
Lorne’s first question to me was simple but revealing: “Do you use AI?” I told him I occasionally use ChatGPT. Then he asked, “Do you know what GPT stands for?” Honestly, I didn’t, that’s when I realized I needed to know more!
After a few more conversations with Lorne, it became clear to me that he carried not only a depth of knowledge about AI but also a heart to align it with our Christian values. I found myself asking just one thing: “How soon can you come to Michigan?”
If you’re leading a station like I am, I sincerely encourage you—don’t take another step into the world of AI without first bringing Lorne in to walk alongside your team. His two-day training with us was only the beginning. He now joins us weekly for “Tune-In Tuesday” sessions, helping us stay grounded and informed as this technology evolves.
There’s a lot of noise in the world about AI—but there’s only one Lorne. What he’s building through Christian Media AI reflects a deep passion for Jesus and a genuine care for Christian radio. Because of his guidance, our entire team is now AIDE Certified—AI Digital Evangelists—ready to move forward with clarity and confidence.
If you’d like to know more, I’d be happy to share my experience. Feel free to reach out.
With gratitude,
Pat Scott
